Fishing Rod Wholesale for Dealers and Distributors

Getting a Japanese big game rod to one angler abroad is an awkward parcel. Getting a case of them to a shop that already serves those anglers is ordinary trade. That is why we would rather talk to a fishing tackle distributor than ship rods one at a time, and why this page exists.

Who We Are Looking For

Businesses whose customers already fish offshore for the largest fish in their water. That usually means one of these:

  • Tackle shops with an offshore or big game counter, not a general sporting goods aisle
  • Importers and distributors who supply those shops in their market
  • Charter fleets, lodges and guide operations that put rods in clients' hands
  • Online retailers with a specialist catalog and staff who can answer a technical question

What decides the fit is the fishing in your waters rather than the scale you start at. A rod drawn for one job moves where that job is done and sits on the shelf where it is not, so the first thing we will want to know from you is what your customers actually fish for.

What You Would Be Carrying

A short lineup in two series. GACHINKO BATTLE is baitcasting throughout, and SPEED CHASE covers both spinning and baitcasting. Every rod in the published lineup is built on a blank with a glass content of 100%, and that figure is published in the specifications on each product page rather than kept for dealers only.

The catalog is short on purpose, and for a stockist that is the useful part. It takes little shelf space, and it can be explained to a customer in one conversation, because every model in it answers the same question: how to beat a large fish while standing on the deck.

Everything is drawn, built and fished in Japan by Soul Shop Co., Ltd. in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture. For a shop that sells on provenance, the answer to "where is this made" is one country, not a supply chain.

Where We Already Are

Most of the shops carrying STANDING SOUL® are in Japan. Outside Japan we work with a distributor in Malaysia, so rods crossing a border to a partner's market is not new ground for us.

Beyond that the map is open. If your market is one we do not reach yet, that is a reason to write rather than a reason not to.

How Terms Are Agreed

We do not publish trade pricing, quantities or territory arrangements here. They are not one figure that survives contact with every market: freight leaving Japan, duty arriving in your country and the size of the fishery you serve all move the answer.

So we set them with you, once we know what you are working with. Nothing on this page is an offer or a commitment on either side — it is an invitation to start the conversation that produces one.

How to Apply

Use our English inquiry form and pick Dealer or distributor as the subject. That label travels with your message, so it arrives already marked as a trade inquiry rather than a customer question.

A first message that includes the following saves a round trip:

  • Your company, your country, and the market you cover
  • The fishing your customers do — species, methods, and the boats they go out on
  • Brands you carry today in the same part of your catalog
  • Whether you sell over a counter, online, or both
  • How you would introduce the line to your customers

The store on this site is retail and delivers inside Japan only, so it is not the channel for a trade order in any case. If you have reached this page as an individual angler rather than a business, start with International Orders.
