On 21 December 2025, Kouji Yoshida — who leads Team Tachitsuri and serves as representative director of Soul Shop Co., Ltd. — officially launched STANDING SOUL®, a fishing tackle brand he develops, manufactures and tests himself.
On the same day we released the GACHINKO BATTLE series for baitcasting reels and the SPEED CHASE series for spinning reels, and began selling them worldwide.

STANDING SOUL® exists to help beginners, women and the next generation of anglers land the big fish they dream of, offering tools you can truly fight with — tools drawn from many years of experience on the water.

About Team Tachitsuri

Team Tachitsuri is an accomplished team recognized by the Japan Game Fish Association (JGFA) and led by Kouji Yoshida, who holds a record for a grouper of over 120 kg.
Its creed is a serious one-on-one contest — the stand-up style — taking on giant fish with nothing but your own body, using no electric reels and no fighting chair. The team keeps after record-class kingfish and tuna off Yonaguni, the Tokara Islands and Sagami Bay.

Its fishing is also broadcast on Standing Hunts, a program on Fishing Vision, a Japanese channel devoted to fishing, and has won the team a large following. Team Tachitsuri also puts real effort into raising the next generation: children have joined as members and gone on to set world records, and the team actively supports young and women anglers.

The model with which team member Manato Mukaezato set an all-tackle junior world record (44.60 kg) at the age of eight. Designed so that women and children can handle it.

A monster-class model with butt power strong enough to go toe to toe with bluefin tuna of over 300 kg.

2. SPEED CHASE (the SC series) / for spinning reels

How the Brand Began

Many beginners and women anglers dream of catching a big fish one day, yet have no experienced angler nearby to ask. For want of knowledge they buy gear they do not need, or take the long way around.

We wanted to pour everything Team Tachitsuri has learned, day after day, into the gear itself and hand it over together with the right knowledge, so that more people around the world can enjoy fishing with us. That is the thought this brand was founded on.
