This rod is a specialized model developed for taking on large fish in a bare-handed stand-up fight, without a gimbal, a harness or any other support gear. Optimized for the horizontal swing fight, it makes a dynamic fighting style built on rod work possible.

The targets are head-on big game such as giant bluefin tuna and billfish (marlin). The blank combines a strong butt with supple tracking so that the angler and the fish can take each other on "one to one."

This is a super rod for the most extreme fights, and one we would especially like anglers with a strong style, who want to settle it with their own arm strength and technique rather than rely on support gear, to use.
